Best New Vibrators for Winter 2017
In this product review, we’re going to overview five quite different vibrators. We’re sorry to say that they’re all in the $100+ range, but they do showcase the best technology available today for women’s vibrators, so while they seem expensive, they are going to give more pleasure and probably last three times longer than your average $50 rabbit vibrator.
Sex toy designers are using more innovative designs for vibrators, moving from traditional shapes to more flexible, adaptable models. These new designs have more consideration for the different ways women like to use their vibrators.
Every clitoris is different, every body shape is different and how you like to play might be different. 2017’s new vibrators offer a whole range of functions that weren’t previously available to give you more choice. For example:
- Touch sensitivity – vibrators that increase the intensity of vibration as you squeeze and thrust
- Flexibility – multi-position vibrators that are truly flexible and can be bent into shape
- Organic forms – vibrators that don’t look like vibrators basically. We’re seeing long bendy shapes, small curvy balls and long spindles among other things!
- Movement – advances in battery power mean that powerful thrusting action is now a reality.
It’s no surprise that some of the top new designs are being produced by the world’s leading companies. They do afterall have the budget to invest in research and development, as well as bring innovative technology to the market faster, so you’ll see familiar brands on this list, but the look and feel of these toys is all new.
Luxe touch sensitive vibrator
These silky smooth sleek vibrators look a litte dildo like, but are so much more sophisticated. The Luxe touch sensitive range responds to your touch, with sensors that intensify the vibrations with your increased motion and squeezing. They also come with a suction cup base which very few other vibrators have, so this toy offers a truly hands free option for play and packs in a lot of features price. It’s vibrations are rumbly, rather than buzzy, and the motion sensing technology works totally hands free – no more mucking around looking for power buttons when you need just that little bit more to get you over the edge!
Opal glass vibrator by Jopen
Glass carries vibration more directly and intensely than softer surfaces like TPR or silicone. It can also be heated and cooled. While there are lots of glass sex toys around, there aren’t that many glass vibrators. The Jopen Opal range stands out by using glass to bring a point of difference to vibrators. You can view the Jopen Opal range in our selection of Jopen vibrators.
Wish by we-vibe
We-Vibe are known for their couples vibrators, the Sync, We-vibe classic and Unite as well as their new range of couples vibrating rings. The Wish is a little bit different and is billed as being ‘all about you’. It’s a palm sized (just slightly smaller) ‘pebble’ or egg shaped device, with a broadly curved end and a slightly narrower, soft end that promises deep rumbling vibrations that will be delivered deep into your vulva thanks to a new pulsing-vibrating motor. The intent of the Wish was to put the power of a Wand vibrator into a smaller, palm held device. Many ladies love wands for the unrivalled power they deliver, but if you’re a fan, you’ll know that many wands are large and cumbersome to hold. The Wish fits beautifully in the palm of your hand, letting you roll it around or use the pointed end for precise stimulation, while delivering those deep, rumbly vibes through your vulva.
Transformer by Picobong (a LELO company)
The Transformer is a multi-purpose, gender neutral double ended sex toy or vibrator that can be used for vaginal-clitoral, vaginal-anal, clitoral-anal or couples play. Both ends vibrate, powered by independent motors. It can be used with a lover, alone and for any combination of vaginal / clitoral / anal play that pleases you. This is probably the least traditional toy on our list, and is another great value object if you only want to own one sex toy and get as much as possible from that toy. The bendy shaft is just over 25 inches long, so a very generous length, and is flexible enough to bend into shape, but firm enough to stay put in that position when you want to play. It’s a 100% silicone and splashproof design, so this inventive pleasure product is all play!
MiaMaxx thrusting vibrator
Unfortunately we don’t have a video for this one so that you can see just how vigorous and powerful the thrusting is, but trust us – the Mia Maxx is a total innovation in thrusting power!
Marketed for men and for women as a ‘hand held sex machine‘, the Mia Maxx is sleek and shiny, made from silicone and is rechargeable, like many other premium vibrators on the market. The Mia Maxx’ unique feature is that it moves with a strong motor powered piston motion up and down through a range of three inches. Many vibrators claim to thrust or rotate, but often the range of motion isn’t all that powerful, the MiaMaxx is totally different – trust us that you will feel like you’ve been given a really good, jolly old rogering after a session or two with this toy! It can be used for anal or vaginal play, but as the range of motion is quite large and powerful, we’d recommend taking it easy introducing yourself to this one, especially if using it as an anal vibrator.
