Five oral sex toys for her
Five Oral Sex Toys for Her
You’ve got to love a sex toy that gets right to the point, and clitoral toys do just that. There are two basic categories of clit toys – those that simulate oral sex, and vibrators.
Oral sex simulating toys create a sucking or flickering motion to mimic the sensations you might feel during oral sex with a partner. In this article we review five oral sex simulators that have different intensities, features and designs to help you decide which toy might be right for you.
If you don’t have too much trouble climaxing with a bit of clitoral stimulation, then an oral sex toy is a great option for achieving a satisfying, quick climax. If you find however that your clitoris isn’t very sensitive and needs a bit more encouragement to deliver a spine tingling orgasm, then it may be the case that you’ll enjoy these toys, but need a traditional clitoral vibrator which delivers constant strong vibration to the clitoris to finish the job (but see the Gyration Sensation review below – this might be great for ladies who love strong stimulation).
The Sqweel is possibly the most innovative new oral sex toy for women to come into the market in a while. Most other toys (like those on the rest of our list) are pumps or bullet vibrator powered stimulators, whereas the Sqweel is an innovative whirling wheel of pleasure that delivers soft flickering ‘licks’ to your clitoris on the way round.
The hard case that houses the motor holds a silicone wheel with ten ‘tongues’ all the way round. The unit has three speed settings and the wheel can move in either direction, delivering a completely different sensation thanks to the gentle curvature of the wheel. To make the most of this toy we recommend using a gel or cream style water based lubricant because the motion of the ‘tongues’ may remove a light or barely-there lube.
The Sqweel 2 model is a larger palm sized unit that’s sturdy to hold, you might even be able to grasp it with your thighs and hold in position if you’ve got enough thigh to get a grip. The Sqweel Go is a much smaller unit and is rechargeable via USB so is a great option for travel. Both models have easy touch controls on the side of the unit.
Silicone Clitoral Pump
Clitoral pumps are basically soft little cups that you position over the clitoris, using a few gentle pumps to ‘suck’ the clitoris into the cup. Then you gradually increase the pressure or intensity of the pumping until it hits the right spot.
There are a whole range of basic pump styles in the market, and these are probably the most affordable option of the lot, but they do have their drawbacks. Number 1 is probably that they won’t bring all ladies to climax.
Depending on how tightly you are able to get the cup of the pump to adhere over your lady bits, you might find that you are able to work up to a pleasant level of suction that is very pleasurable. Or, you might not feel much more than a gentle sucking that is arousing, but perhaps not going to enable you to reach climax without assistance from a partner or another toy.
However, they are versatile – you can use a pump to plump up or stimulate your nipples, as part of foreplay or just as something a little different for your toy box!
The third option on the list is the most luxurious of them all – the LELO Ora is a high tech, high design vibrator that aims to simulate oral sex with a rotating, rolling nodule that moves around underneath a thin, flat area on the side of the silicone skin of the toy. You simply press the toy onto your secret parts, switch it on and let it do it’s work!
The Ora vibrate with nine different patterns of rumbly vibes, that also deliver different movement patterns in the moving nodules. They circle, flick back and forth and various other permutations. This toy is waterproof (hello bathtime fun!) and beautiful to boot.
If you’re a serious accessories girl and want something that doesn’t look all that much like a sex toy, or something that you’d be proud to whip out with a new partner, pretty much anything by LELO should probably be on your shopping list.
The Ora is pretty expensive, retailing at more than $200, but all LELO products come with amazing guarantees to reassure you about making the investment.
Gyration Sensations Gyrating Pleasing Flutter
The ‘gyration sensations gyrating pleasing flutter’ (try saying that after a few drinks!) sounds like something that might have been invented by Willy Wonka. It’s basically a classic, battery powered vibrator with a flickering soft tongue on the end.
The ‘tongue’ itself doesn’t have a motor, the vibrator motor is in the shaft of the unit and passes vibrations up through the tongue, with a mechanism that flickers it back and forth quickly. The tongue is soft and flexible, and makes a fast, light flickering movement. There are only two speed settings and both are much faster than a real life partner is ever going to achieve, so if you like your oral intense and direct, this is the toy for you!
Although the pictures make this look like a delicate toy, this is actually a pretty solid, powerful vibrator. See the California Exotics demo video below for example. A number of people who reviewed this item said that it takes a minute to climax, it’s ‘not for the faint hearted’ and definitely suits those who like intense and direct clitoral stimulation.
A great and affordable option that gets to the point and does the job – what’s not to love!
As with the Sqweel, we’d recommend that thanks to the constant flickering action, you should use lots of thick water based lubricant to ensure there is plenty of slip on your skin, avoiding any friction and softening the sensation a little bit.
What’s this little bit of sex toy weirdness?
Well probably not our favourite on the list, but it is an oral toy so it made it’s way on here.
The Good Head tongue vibe is a vibrator that your partner can wear on their tongue to create even more sensation during oral sex.
We haven’t actually tried or reviewed this toy out of the packaging and we’d be interested to know what you think. It would take a pretty robust tongue or perhaps a highly suppressed gag reflex for a partner to find it enjoyably giving oral with this on, but it probably is lots of fun for the receiver!
It’s basically a little tongue extension with a stretchy band that you can put around your tongue. It incorporates a bullet vibrator that buzzes away while your partner delivers cunnilingus. An acquired taste, if you’ll pardon the pun!
So which one is best? That’s a very tough call.
The toys we reviewed above are very different – the Ora is soft and undulating, the Gyration Sensation Flutter is flickering and intense, the Sqweel is somewhere in between and the pump and tongue vibe are in categories all of their own. So I guess it really comes down to what sort of sensation you personally enjoy and what you think is going to meet your goals in the bedroom. The tongue vibe and pump are probably going to serve as foreplay toys for many women, rather than something that will induce climax independently.
The Sqweel probably gets our vote for the most realistic simulation of expert level tongue flicking! It’s got some nice features and a moderate intensity level that will suit a wide range of clitoral sensitivities, so you can be a bit more confident that if you invest in this, there is probably going to be a setting that works for you.
